Portraits of a Mad Black Woman

This series is inspired by a self portrait painting I made in 2019. The strokes and colors of this painting are loud, intentional and unintentional. Zoomed in, the painting looks almost chaotic, zoomed out with a full view, you see how each color and stroke forms into an abstract portrait of a creative chaotic mind. This series is a two-part story that depicts the beauty and madness that makes me function in the world. These are the portraits of a mad black woman
