The California Abundant Birth Project (CA ABP) is a guaranteed income program that provides cash during pregnancy to those at greatest risk for preterm birth, which includes: identifying as Black, having had a previous preterm birth, having preexisting hypertension, preexisting diabetes, or sickle cell anemia (SCA).
